Getting started
How do I create my first invoice?
Add your studio details and a client, then open the invoice editor from Documents. Pick the client, add line items, choose a template and language, and send. The live preview shows exactly what your client will receive.
Can I import my existing clients?
Yes. Bring clients and catalog items in from CSV or Excel, or add them one at a time. Address, VAT ID, and locale then flow onto every future document.
Is tobbli suitable for freelancers and small teams?
Yes. tobbli is built for independent professionals and studios who want tidy invoicing, time, projects, expenses, and a client portal in one place.
Billing & documents
How do I correct an invoice I already sent?
Sent invoices lock so your records stay trustworthy. Issue a credit note that references the original — quantities and totals stay consistent.
Which tax modes are supported?
Standard VAT, Kleinunternehmer (§ 19 UStG), and reverse charge. Set your default once; override it per client. ZUGFeRD and XRechnung are available when you send.
Can I send documents in more than one language?
Yes. The app and the PDF run in ten languages, with nine currencies. Set language and currency per document; the template follows.

How do I turn tracked time into an invoice?
Start a timer on a project, stop it, and turn unbilled hours into invoice line items without retyping the week.
How do projects relate to invoices?
Tie time, expenses, and documents to a client project so the rollup is ready when you bill.
Can I rebill expenses to a client?
Log the cost, attach the receipt, and keep billable expenses ready to put on the next invoice. Recurring studio costs can post themselves.
How do I invite a client to the portal?
Turn on portal access from the client record. They get their own sign-in to review invoices, accept quotes, and upload files.
Hur fungerar tavlor?
Öppna Tavlor, skapa en tavla och lägg till uppgifter i kolumner. Dra ett kort när arbetet flyttar. En tavla kan stå ensam eller kopplas till ett projekt. Att flytta ett kort till Klart skickar ingen faktura — fakturering sker fortfarande under Dokument.
Vad visar kalendern?
Fakturor, offerter och kreditfakturor den dag de skickades, är schemalagda att skickas eller förfaller. Filtrera på typ, välj en dag för listan. Makulerade dokument stannar utanför rutnätet. Förfallochips skiljer sig från utskickschips.

Where is my data stored?
tobbli is designed and built in Germany and hosted in Europe. You can export your data at any time.
How do I export my data?
From your workspace settings you can export your documents and records so you always keep your own copy.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Manage or cancel your plan anytime from billing in account settings. Your data stays exportable before and after.
