Messages
Messages sits next to Clients. A conversation has a subject and belongs to one client. The client reads and replies in the portal.
- 1
Open Messages, or the tab on the client
Messages in the sidebar lists every conversation. On a client, the Messages tab lists only theirs, titled by subject.
- 2
Start a conversation with a subject
Choose New, pick the client if you are in the inbox, write a subject and the first message, then start. The subject is the title the client sees.
- 3
Reply in the thread
Open the conversation and send from the composer. Your lines are marked You. Theirs use the client name.
- 4
Watch the unread count and the bell
A new client message increments the sidebar count and adds a notification. Opening the thread clears the unread count for that conversation. Open the notification to jump to it.
Before they have portal access
You can still write. The composer notes that they will see the thread after they join. Invite them from the client record when you want them to reply.
What a client sees
In the portal, Messages lists subjects, not your other clients. Their replies notify you. They do not see your studio inbox.
